Elizabeth Dianda

Elizabeth Dianda, a graduating student in Master 2 of Research in Population Sciences at the Institut Supérieur des Sciences et de la Population (ISSP) of Joseph Ki-Zerbo University. She has always shown her willingness to evolve in the field of Population Sciences, so much so that she has participated in many research workshops, notably the young researchers' workshops and the international study day in June 2021 on the theme "Populations, development issues and security crises in Africa", during which she participated in the organization. More specifically, her interests are in sexual and reproductive health, gender, violence against girls and women, nutrition and food insecurity. With a background in Social Statistics and a Master's degree in Social Science Research, Elizabeth has a dual perspective: quantitative and qualitative in methodology. Currently an intern in the Population and Health Research Unit, she is writing her dissertation on the research-action project "Responding to sexual violence against adolescents for a better respect of their sexual and reproductive rights in Burkina Faso" conducted by the Research Unit with principal investigator Dr. Nathalie Sawadogo and funded by the International Development Research Centre of Canada. The relevance of the theme of sexual violence against adolescents being no longer in question, she decided to address the topic of "Sexual harassment of adolescent girls aged 10 to 19 in the school environment in Bougouriba, Burkina Faso".
