Maternal Mortality in Burkina Faso - Additional Studies
A study conducted between 2010 and 2014 in a district hospital in the capital city of Ouagadougou found that nearly half of all maternal deaths (47.1%) were due to hemorrhage (Sawadogo et al, 2019).
A study conducted in a regional referral hospital in the north between 2013 and 2015 showed that 38.3% of maternal deaths were due to hemorrhage (Ouedrago et al, 2017).
A study conducted between 2014 and 2016 in another regional referral hospital in northern Burkina Faso found that 22.7% of maternal deaths were related to hemorrhage (Zamané et al, 2018).
